Education
California State Polytechnic University, Pomona
2020 - 2025
B.Sc Mechanical Engineering - GPA: 3.7
I am currently in my final year here at CPP finishing up my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Here I have been able to grow my interest and knowledge in ME through numerous courses, clubs, and employment. I have put in many hours into several clubs on campus including ASME, Baja SAE, and Pi Tau Sigma, all of which taught me valuable leadership and shop skills (experience section). I worked a few positions as well, such as a recreational technician where I provided the upkeep to a variety of machinery. In terms of courses, here are the ones that are most relevant:
Queensland Univeristy of Technology
2022 - 2023
B.Sc Mechanical Engineering - GPA: 3.5
For 12 months, I studied abroad in Australia to experience a new setting and to gain more perspective on engineering and life in general. While I still progressed towards my degree, I also took some out-of-the-box classes that gave me new creative outlets. This year was very transformative, and I enjoyed learning other ways in which engineering is taught across the globe.
Westview High School
2016 - 2020
GED - GPA: 3.9
Westview was an academically forward school, and I did well with grades and being involved. I helped run charities such as Support Young Athletes, played tennis and soccer, and created good relationships with my teachers and peers.
Experience
Packaging Engineer Intern
Ajinomoto
Ontario, CA
May 2024 - January 2025
During the summer and fall semester, I was a packaging engineer intern at Ajinomoto. Here, I took part in carrying out structural stress tests of packaging, creating and adding to a new company-wide database, implementing new methods of prototyping, and overseeing the accurate transition of data between archives. Throughout my time there, I presented my findings and progress to the executive board on several occasions. This experience helped me improve my critical thinking, my public speaking ability, and made me proficient in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
Presenting to the executives, and over 30 others, my contributions over the summer.

Co-President & Scheduler
Pi Tau Sigma
Pomona, CA (CPP)
August 2024 - Present
I decided to join Pi Tau Sigma, a mechanical engineering society that strives to support ME students through university and with getting into industry, because I believed in their message and goals. As Scheduler and now Co-President, I took on the tasks of finding and reserving locations for meetings, presenting to students, growing comradery, and facilitating industry connections. I usually lead workshops, where we focus on a single aspect of school/job hunting, and provide our best input and support. I have massively developed my leadership capabilities, public speaking skills, and my ability and desire to take the initiative.

Recreational Technician
Associated Students Inc.
Pomona, CA (CPP)
December 2023 - June 2024
As a recreational technician, I was responsible for the upkeep and repair of many of my university gym's mechanical equipment. This included workout machines, safety systems, and the mechanisms in the pool's boiler room. Our jobs were essential, as failure to effectively carry out our tasks would quickly lead to the shutdown and damage of school facilities. I gained valuable knowledge on mechanical maintenance and hand tool use, and also got CPR and CPO (pool operator) certifications.

Front of Store Attendant
Target
San Diego, CA
August 2020 - August 2023
My responsibilities lied in keeping the front of the store orderly, efficient, and stocked. This included running the guest service desk, fulfilling orders and delivering them, collecting and fixing carts, and assisting the team lead with tasks.
Target's front of store.
Engineer Intern
Apex Mechanical Systems Inc.
San Diego, CA
June 2019 - August 2019
As an intern, I was responsible for visiting client locations and making records of their active HVAC systems. I would present these findings to my superiors, where we would then conduct simulations of heat transfer through the buildings accounting for time of year, the orientation of the building, and countless other factors. We would then determine the viability of the current systems, and look into modifications and improvements to reach the client's requirements. I also spent much of my time shadowing the engineers in meetings and out in the field.
Surveying the systems in place in a client's office.
